GARAGE REMODEL TRANSFORMATION

Uptimize Design had the privilege to transform a detached one car garage in Fort Worth, TX into a tiny guest home. With 300 square feet to work with, we had to put our thinking caps on to design an interior space with complete functionality for an Airbnb renter. It received a complete makeover. BEFORE
PROJECT GOALS
A once grungy garage was transformed into a spunky studio apartment perfect for a house guest or tourist. We used our design expertise to create an inspiring space that anyone would be happy to stay in. The owner really wanted to make this space functional for 1-2 people to stay in without spending a fortune. With a limited budget, economical solutions were made when picking tile, cabinets, home furnishings and décor.
Careful detail was taking in the planning process to create the best solution for maximizing the space. The layout of the garage was strategically arranged in a way that best flowed and utilized the space. The main goal of the project was to make what seemed like such a small space feel roomy. We exceed the owner expectations and crafted a space the has great flow and functionality. After the layout was finalized all the design selection were made. The consistent use of colors, stained wood and textures throughout are what really took this design to the next level. The home décor and furnishing were selected toward the end of construction in order to best match and fit the space.
